This renovation will upgrade and expand the Animal Biological Safety Level Three facilities. The existing facilities will be modernized to over 250 percent of its current size. The facility will utilize a clean to dirty (contaminated) corridor concept and will provide six laboratories with adjacent animal rooms, four non-animal laboratories, an aerosol challenge suite, a general support laboratory and an imaging suite. The facility will house primarily small animals (mice, rats, rabbits) but could house low numbers of modestly larger species.
