This
new middle school, for grades 6-8, is situated on a 30
acre site in Orange City, Fla., The project consists of
three one story buildings and three two story classroom
buildings connected with covered walkways in a campus
plan. The project includes an administration building, a
music and food service building, a core classroom and
media center building, as well as a gymnasium. All
buildings are constructed with reinforced concrete
spread footings, reinforced masonry walls with a brick
veneer and structural steel framing. Two buildings are
being constructed as EHPA shelters for Volusia County.
