This library was developed on a fast track basis to serve as a major cornerstone to the rapidly growing Santa Fe Community College campus in northwest Gainesville. This 60,000 square foot project is an elegant, efficient, functional structure based on a rectangular grid to reflect the rectangularity of the more than 135,325 volumes housed in it. The building is a two story cast-in-place concrete and reinforced steel structure.

The SFCC Library accommodates not only all of the book and journal services found in traditional libraries, but also provides the full range of computer-based information services appropriate to today s college instruction.
